The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation works for the preservation and revitalization of Georgia’s diverse historic resources and advocates their appreciation, protection, and use.
Our team develop a tool and standardized process for identifying properties in historic West Atlanta neighborhoods that could be rehabilitated and sold as affordable housing. The goal of this work was to streamline internal processes in order to increase the rate of property acquisition and number of provided home ownership opportunities.
Trees Atlanta
Trees Atlanta is a nonprofit community group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating.
Our team created a scientifically valid tree valuation method, enabling Trees Atlanta to objectively determine the value of ecosystem services lost when trees are destroyed or removed. This data-driven approach helped Trees Atlanta back up their rationale for saving existing trees, which can be utilized in lawmaker lobbying efforts.
Partnership Against Domestic Violence
Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) is an organization that provides shelters and legal assistance to those who have suffered from domestic abuse.
Our team implemented a fleet management system that enabled PADV to track their vehicles and provide a central location for their maintenance records. This allowed PADV to organize a major aspect of how they transport those that they help, saving them time and resources.
Urban Perform
Urban Perform makes exercise accessible and affordable to the deserving communities of Atlanta. Their goal is to encourage healthier lifestyles and implement health and wellness programs to inspire people to make healthy choices.
Our team developed a fitness tracker to enable members to track their health progress by inputting data. The tracker got installed on Urban Perform’s website.
CiDrep SickKids Foundation
CiDrep SickKids Foundation is dedicated to providing funds to sick kids with sickle cell, autism, cancer, and other health disorders when insurance and other financial resources have been exhausted.
Our team converted a paper application into an online form to efficiently organize the application information, making it easily accessible.
Camp Twin Lakes
Camp Twin Lakes provides year-round, fully-adaptive, and deeply impactful camp programs for children (and adults) with disabilities, illnesses, and other life challenges. The intentionally-designed programs help campers overcome obstacles as they learn new skills to more independently manage their challenges. They partner with over 60 nonprofit organizations serving a diverse range of diagnoses and life challenges.
Our team developed a database to measure the future outcomes of camp on current and past staff using Vertical Response, Google Forms, and Microsoft Access, as well as Tableau visualization.
GEORGIA JUSTICE PROJECT
Georgia Justice Project is a nonprofit dedicated to helping underprivileged residents convicted or charged with a crime.
Our team developed a desktop application that would help Georgia Justice Project maintain a database of their clients more efficiently, instead of relying upon Excel sheets.
NEXT GENERATION MEN AND WOMEN
Next Generation Men and Women provides professional exposure, leadership development, community service, and ongoing support to at risk youth. Since they are applying for bigger grants and accumulating more kids they needed a more sophisticated way to manage their data.
Our team built a functional database that successfully integrated the user interface with the backend so that data can be viewed and edited through the website.
